This is the most critical foundation of our award. The authenticity of the photograph depends on submitting the film negatives, RAWs, or unaltered original JPEGs. Whether you work with Magnum, National Geographic, Reuters, AP, or are an independent artisan, position and fame cannot bypass authentic, unaltered files. This score evaluates your immediate adherence to genuine, unmanipulated photography.
Mastery Score (Scoring > 68 out of 80)
Becoming a winner requires exceptional determination, but only those with the highest level of artistry and technical command score 68 or higher out of 80 from our international jury. Scoring 68+ twenty times grants the maximum 20 marks, with at least one 68+ score qualifying the baseline.
Winning Photo of the Month
Every month, our jury analyzes all scores alongside social reach data to announce the top 3 Photo of the Month positions. Winning Photo of the Month multiple times plays a decisive role in propelling a photographer into the upper tiers of the Top 100 list (10 wins earns maximum marks).
Winning Photo of the Day
Winning the Photo of the Day Award provides monumental global exposure and marks the start of your journey into purist photography. Consistency is recognized: winning 50 times earns the maximum 10 marks.
Participating in Exclusive Interview
After achieving top honors, stepping forward to articulate your vision, philosophy, and creative process requires courage. Expressing who you are on your dedicated interview canvas constitutes our 5th essential criteria.
Contribution as Registered Member
Membership means being actively connected to the broader purist movement. The award represents ~10% of Light & Composition, alongside our books, press journal, research, and university. This score reflects your genuine commitment to our community and philosophy.
Media Engagement & Achievement Sharing
Sharing authentic work is an integral part of art that will never become passé. This score recognizes laureates who actively publish and syndicate their Light & Composition achievements across regional, national, and global mainstream media.
Transparent, Merit-Based Laureate Standing
Photographers achieving the highest cumulative scores across all 7 criteria are inducted annually into the World's Top 100 Photographers Hall of Fame.
