The House Crow by Masudur Rahman

Captured in the quiet surroundings of his home in South Khulshi, this portrait of a house crow showcases the photographer's keen eye for the avian life common to Bangladesh. Taken during an afternoon practice session with a new telephoto lens, the image highlights the intricate details and character of the Corvus splendens. The photograph is award-worthy for its sharp focus and composition, which elevates a ubiquitous local bird into a compelling subject of study. By isolating the crow against a soft background, the photographer successfully transforms an everyday encounter into a striking wildlife portrait that celebrates the beauty of local biodiversity.
