This old man was walking in the center of Rome near Chiostro of Bramante. Lockdown was over few days before I took this photo, and we were all afraid about the future. This old man was walking with his newspaper and he wear the mask for COVID protection. He was thinking about something we can’t know.

This woman was entering the church in Rome named Santa Maria in Vallicella, an important church in the center of the city of Rome. The light was very strong and the city was very hot that day. The magnificence of the church and the solitude of the woman caught my attention.

In an almost surreal tunnel in the Roman suburbs, a human figure walks in the distance. The light is as intense as the loneliness of the human being. It was a day of celebration and the solitude of this figure caught my attention. The black and white amplifies the drama of the photo.
