The Rhythm of Moving On
I spent an hour this morning watching a line of ants cross my kitchen floor. They were so focused, each one following the path of the one before it without a single hesitation. It made me think about how much of our own lives are spent in transit, moving from one place to another, driven by a pull we can’t always name. We often worry about where we are going or if we are falling behind, but there is something deeply grounding about simply being part of a larger movement. It is a reminder that we are never truly alone in our journeys. Even when the path ahead feels uncertain or endless, there is a quiet comfort in the collective heartbeat of the world. We are all just trying to reach the next horizon, carrying our own small burdens, yet somehow finding the strength to keep walking together. Does the idea of being part of a bigger, unseen flow make you feel smaller, or does it make you feel more connected to everything else?

Martin Meyer has captured this sense of collective purpose in his image titled Migration. It perfectly mirrors that feeling of being caught in a tide that is much larger than any one of us. What does this scene stir in you?
