Michiko Matsumoto

Michiko Matsumoto was born in Shizuoka, Japan, and earned a B.A. in Japanese literature from Hosei University in 1974. She began her photography career in the early 1980s, focusing on portraits of international artists and renowned dancers. Throughout her career, she has published ten photography books and established a significant presence in the art world. Her work is held in the permanent collections of various museums across the globe.
