End of Summer, by Christopher Utano

For this image of my daughters sandals, I used a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8. I wanted a shallow DOF to blur out distractions in the background but also wanted to retain the details in the texture on the cement. Since this image was shot on labor day last summer I thought it depicted the “end of summer” quite well. I converted to B&W to further emphasize the detail in textures.
