This beautiful image was taken on a recent trip to South Island, New Zealand. This is Lake Pukaki with its grand view of Aoraki Mount Cook. My initial plan was to go further into the Pukaki valley for some drone photography and that is exactly where I was headed on this afternoon.

Lake Ruataniwha, located in Mackenzie Basin in New Zealand is a man made lake formed as a part of hydroelectric project. But as you are driving past this scene, not much here looks man made! In fact, this scene is so pretty, I was compelled to turn around and come back to take some pictures.

Lake Matheson on the West Coast of South Island New Zealand is fascinating and beautiful. Promising pristine reflections almost all day long all year round, this gorgeous lake attracts tourists from all over the world. I was on a scouting trip to the lake, being my first time here and I needed to understand the terrain and locations for a sunrise shoot. Thus, I was walking with just a few lenses but without my tripod. Now even though the sunrise images are stunning, this particular shot is close to my heart as it depicts the beauty of Lake Matheson under such a moody and gloomy sky.
