This photo was taken at one of the first protest in support of a ceasefire and a free Palestine on October 29th 2023 in the Hague, Netherlands. The photo is a stark reminder of revolutions against injustice, taken in front of the independence monument in the Hague, a statue commemorating the end of the French era in the Netherlands.

It was a very overcast day in Brighton which provided a perfectly white backdrop for black and white photography. I saw a lonely pigeon on top of a statue so cranked up the shutter speed ready for it to take flight when a male pigeon decided to come 'flirt' a little, luckily I was ready for the shot....
