It was recently Valentines Day in Australia and the tradition is that women are given flowers by their partner, and my husband didn't disappoint. I think he expected I would put them in a vase and display them but I had other plans for these. I grabbed my camera, pulled the beautiful bunch of flowers apart and used the flowers as subjects for some creative still-life photography.

My husband surprised me with the most stunning bouquet this particular afternoon! Gerberas filled the vase with bursts of color, and I knew I had to capture their beauty and I can't resist a little creative challenge!
Instead of the traditional vase shot, I decided to deconstruct the arrangement and play with individual blooms. Soft afternoon light streamed through the window, casting a soft glow on the delicate petals. I arranged them on a simple white background, letting the vibrant colors take center stage.
Focusing on individual flowers allowed me to capture the intricate details. It was a fun and creative way to appreciate the beauty of these blooms.

I took this photo during a trip to the Pusteria Valley. Lake Brais is a wonderful place, but too crowded, so it is not easy to find a shooting point free of people. The ideal would be to go to sleep in the hotel on the lake. In any case it offers colours, atmosphere, reflections and many emotions.
