Photo of the Day Award Showcase

Explore the Very Moments of Our Presence on This Earth

The journey of Photo of the Day is endless, from one continent to the next, a journey that gives one an understanding of people, nature, and culture. We believe, when one feels it from the heart and captures the moment with their camera, it becomes iconic, which is special to share with the whole world. Let’s share it with others.

A Man in Midtown by Keith Goldstein

A Man in Midtown by Keith Goldstein

I was walking through midtown running errands. This part of NYC has large fancy office buildings and is close to the Theater District and Radio City Music Hall. I was struck by this gentleman's demeanor and disheveled dress in contrast to the fancy buildings around him. Obviously, he was homeless.

The Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris (literally the Cathedral of Our Lady, referred to in Czech as the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary or the Temple of the Mother of God), French Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, is a Gothic cathedral standing on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité on the Seine River in Paris.
Trout and Parsley by Rodrigo Aliaga

The raw trout has a very nice texture. When the light comes from one side, stands out the texture. The color of the trout contrast with the cutting board and the white table surface. And the green of the lemons and parsley contrast with the orange of the trout, as opposite colors. The pepper seeds are just a detail.
