For me, looking through the viewfinder is looking into a magical world. In a world without color, in a world dominated by light, shadow and gray tones. Into the magical world of black and white photography. Black and white photography focuses on the essentials. It highlights the beauty of the subject. It stimulates the viewer's imagination. A black and white photograph sometimes expresses more than 1000 words can describe.

This image was a sweat accident. I started early on that day in order to reach Yumthang Valley which about 20kms away. As the weather becomes very un-predicable towards afternoon, guide recommended to reach early and return early. The drive was through rugged landscape due to frequent land slides. On way, my guide stopped a small village for breakfast. After my food, I took a little walk behind the village and found these amazing tall trees with the mountain backdrop.

Waffles for breakfast is always a good option if you can find a bit more time over the weekend which you normally don't have during the week. It gives you so much options to play with from fresh fruit cuts, berries or if you have a sweet tooth, chocolate sauce.
