In Solitude by Shirren Lim

Captured during a visit to a local fun fair, this poignant image features a young girl sitting in quiet isolation against the lush, green backdrop of a lake. The photographer utilized a long focal length to isolate the subject, emphasizing her solitary figure amidst the bustling environment. This photograph is award-worthy for its emotive power and the delicate balance of color and composition, which transforms a simple, candid moment into a universal narrative of childhood introspection. The deliberate framing highlights the girl's presence, turning a fleeting observation into a compelling study of human solitude.

amazing background and beautifully framed. Though the shot is so colorful, the deep and mysterious thoughts of the girl gazing at the water is perfectly brought out. The supporting text written by Simran gave another dimension to the shot. Great work by the photographer and Simran. Cheets!
