A Kurdish man is seen drinking water from a river next to his horse. The relationship between the two creatures seems to be boundless. Horses have an important cultural value among the Humen. This particular horse is a descendant of the horses owned by Mulla Mustafa Barzani, the founder of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. This image was captured during our December 2020 trip to Lofoten. Despite it not being the ideal time to visit due to the frequent rain and strong winds, I managed to take this shot on my phone as I couldn’t use my DSLR. The yellow cabin contrasted beautifully against the moody blue skies and dark Norwegian landscape, standing out boldly in front of a silhouetted mountain. The weather was challenging, but it added a dramatic touch to the scene. The serene yet rugged atmosphere of Lofoten in winter made the experience unforgettable. Every element in the frame came together to highlight the raw beauty of Norway.

Wenceslas Square, colloquially referred to as Václavák and known as Wenzelsplatz in German, was formerly named Saint Wenceslas Square and originally served as a horse market, known as Rossmarkt in German. Located in the New Town of Prague, it spans 750 meters in length and 60 meters in width, forming an elongated rectangle. The boulevard slopes from the National Museum to Můstek, bordering the Old Town. Over its history, Wenceslas Square has been witness to numerous significant events and has become a traditional venue for demonstrations, celebrations, and other mass gatherings. Often touted as the second-largest square in Prague and the Czech Republic, its upper part stands as the busiest pedestrian thoroughfare in the country.
