This is an image I made in my early photography days. It was made during the summer in The Smoky Mountains National Park. The combination of low light, rushing mountian stream, and low film speed combined to create the “silky” look of the water.
Most times scenes are just like that, overlooked because of the busy world we live in. We fail to see the beauty in simple things. I believe the role of a photographer is to present even the simple, ordinary scenes in an aesthetic, extraordinary way that would have been otherwise missed.
