Have you ever noticed while visiting a church that the statues of the Mother of God and Jesus are placed in such a way that sunlight always falls on their faces? Churches have always had a great architectural design. The sound of the organ can be heard in every corner of a church and all of this without the architects having technical aids at the time. Believing or not believing. Churches are a place of peace and quiet. They have always fascinated people. Churches have survived storms, fires and wars. Churches were and always will be a place of peace.

Once I stepped into the Capella Do Sacramento Cloister, it was as if I stepped back in time. I could feel the age of the architecture, moist and mould ridden walls. There was a presence and I was overcome by the peace and stillness of the surroundings

The shooting date was 12/08/2019 during a trip to Berlin. This photo was taken with a tripod at the Altes Museum. The gentleman in the photograph is another photographer shooting freehand. All this took some time because there were a lot of people, but still the presence of the human figure in architecture photos adds a touch of street photography.
