I’d have preferred the bird dissolved into the bamboo, a smudge of shadow rather than a specimen. It’s technically proficient, sure, but it’s stifling. Why resolve every feather when the mystery is what actually matters? It feels like a missed opportunity to capture the dark, breathing forest itself.
