I was on my daily photo walk when I noticed fire engines and emergency vehicles up ahead. When I arrived at the site, there appeared to be nothing going on. Possibly the emergency passed. I did notice a legless man in a wheel chair sitting immobile on the corner, seemingly unfazed by all that was happening around him. I was able to make a a couple of photographs of him before he became aware of me.

On a hike from Guana Bay to Point Blanche you can see many Iguana's enjoying the sun. You can find them everywhere on St Maarten but the best place to spot them is between Guana Bay and Point Blanche. They are really good in hiding in the bushes but they come out shen the sun is out.

On the way back from a hike, the sight on the left catches my eye. Brake, stop, take out your camera. So many simple steps to immortalise a singular scene, between the beauty of nature, the cement of the road and the result of human deforestation. All under a gloomy, damp and rainy Belgian sky.
