Shin Woo was born in South Korea, and lives in Seoul. When she took a camera(Pentax auto camara) for the first time, it became a hobby for her. She fell in love with it and still falling in love to all its aspect. To her taking a photograph is ‘doing philosophy’ and ‘watching the world’. So she prefer black and white to color. She thinks, refer to Schopenhauer’s book title, our world is ‘the world as will and representation’. She also believes, representation gives us sense and language, sense and language become one’s will. And will makes the event, and the event become history. She wants to ‘do philosophy’ and express it by the camera. And she wants to find the point where she can stand on.
