Simran Nanwani

Simran is an Entrepreneur of a small business called Seni Home and passionate photographer from Jakarta, Indonesia. Her styles vary depending on the moment and what inspires her to be creative. Born and brought up in Jakarta, Indonesia, Simran grew up with her parents and graduated from a Local International High School. She further pursued a Chartered Accounting Course(ACCA) in Singapore for 3(three) years. She started her own online business called Seni Home, in 2011, selling handicraft products made in Indonesia. She started developing a keen interest in Photography, after she was gifted her first digital camera, a Panasonic Lumix, in June 2007. In 2010, she took up a one day short course of Basic Photography which was conducted by an experienced photographer named Ross Deverson. She learned the basic tips and techniques of Photography. The interest turned into passion when she bought her iPhone. She started clicking pictures everywhere and of everything that caught her attention. They say practice makes perfect, and although she has a long way to perfection she has learned a lot and also gained more exposure through apps like Instagram. After getting herself a semi-pro camera – Canon Powershot G12 she has broadened her experience in exploring new techniques with macros, angles and clarity of shot. She enjoys capturing colors, architecture, people, nature, macro, and landscapes. She likes using her gears, as each of them gives its own personal satisfaction. When creating and sharing her work she often prefers to keep it simple by doing minor edits. Currently, she does not have specific plans for future. She would love to be featured in magazines like National Geographic or any other photography Magazine. She might add this passion to her current home business in future. Her definition of Photography would be not about clicking and sharing moments, but admiring the beauty of the Universe and interpreting it in ways that keep inspiring us to keep clicking.

Laurence Connor

Laurence Connor grew up in the English counties of Norfolk and Kent and was educated at Northbourne Park and Cranbrook schools. Living on the coast, he became a strong swimmer and keen sailor, obtaining a water-sports teaching qualification at a relatively young age.
He has travelled widely in Europe, skied in Canada, and journeyed throughout Southern Africa in his early teens. Bitten by the African bug and keenly eco aware Laurence returned to South Africa to train and qualify as a Nature Guide, under the tutelage of the highly respected Johan Fourie. Laurence then went to Na’an Ku Se Lodge in Namibia, which specialises in animal conservation, to be involved hands-on in the rescue and rehabilitation of leopards, preparing them for their eventual release back into sustainable habitat.

He gained further experience at the 5* Sausage Tree Camp on the banks of the Lower Zambezi, followed by guiding and the provision of photographic tutoring in the St Lucia area of South Africa. Laurence is a talented photographer whose work has been shown in exhibition – The Bush & Beach Series. Attention to detail, extensive knowledge, experience in client care and a great sense of fun makes Laurence a much sought after safari and conservation buddy.
