The photo was taken by me on February 21, 2020 in Moscow, during a run-through before "The Swan Lake" ballet. In the photo, the soloist of the "Russian Classical Ballet" Elizaveta Taranda. She took a break after the run, stands in the light of a projector with a phone, mentally prepares to go on stage. Her face is calm, and at the same time, focused.

The photo was taken in an evening walk with my friend and children before sunset, 07/18/2020. The isolation in Moscow had just ended, and we went with my kids out of town to my friends, we were hungry for the peace and quiet of nature. The lake near the town of Zvenigorod was like a mirror. We enjoyed the silence and harmony of the sky under our feet. Life goes on...

The photo was taken in the old garden in Geneva on 02/28/2020. These were the last happy days before the COVID crisis, border closures and long separation from family and friends. There was anxiety and a feeling of uncertainty in the air, tense anticipation and hope that no matter what, everything would be fine. An old, muddy, but beloved and in its own way dear lantern - as a symbol of a long wait in the same place, a symbol of static.
