Explore the Very Moments of Our Presence on This Earth

The journey of Photo of the Day is endless, from one continent to the next, a journey that gives one an understanding of people, nature, and culture. We believe, when one feels it from the heart and captures the moment with their camera, it becomes iconic, which is special to share with the whole world. Let’s share it with others.

Black Pepper for Cold Remedy by Roselin Antony

Black Pepper for Cold Remedy by Roselin Antony

This photo was taken as a cover pic to represent pepper curry recipe on "Sarah's Kitchen South India" YouTube channel. As I wanted to capture some evening sunlight on the main ingredient, I waited the Sun to go down and then took the picture near the window of my house.

If you love black and white photography like I do, then you know that it is not always easy to photograph plants and flowers in black and white. I am always looking for the perfect flower or plant. It must not be too dark, but also not too light. It must be interesting. It must have interesting petals, but it must also have enough colour to be attractive and interesting. This photo was taken on a sunny morning, shortly after sunrise. The leaves are caught by the light and still form a nice contrast to the background.
