This photo was taken in the botanical garden of the Ruhr University Bochum. The nursery of turtles was open, the little ones are curious and open to visitors. Young turtles love sun and water. They live peacefully together. Turtles are threatened with extinction worldwide and are therefore protected by the Washington Conservation of Animals.
