On Golden Pond by James L. Brown

Captured at the Marthaville Habitat Area in Southern Ontario, this image depicts Canada Geese gliding across a serene pond during a fleeting, misty dawn. The photographer arrived at six in the morning, racing against the rising sun to document the ethereal fog before it dissipated. The resulting composition is a testament to patience and timing, as the geese appeared to pose amidst the quiet, atmospheric conditions. This photograph is award-worthy for its masterful use of natural light and the tranquil, intimate connection established between the photographer and the wildlife in a moment of undisturbed stillness.

Why thank you Terry. I seldom get up early enough to find that magic light . Shortly after taking this photo the fog disappeared and the magic was gone – jimmy
