Transition by Sukesh Kumar

Transition captures the delicate interplay between celestial bodies, symbolizing the shift from the brilliance of the sun to the subtle, persistent glow of the moon. The photographer was drawn to the moon's quiet resilience, noting how it shines with full capability despite lacking the sun's vibrant intensity. By utilizing a deliberate exposure of 1/13 second at f/11, the image achieves a balanced clarity that highlights the ethereal nature of the scene. This photograph is award-worthy for its poetic interpretation of light and its ability to transform a simple astronomical observation into a profound meditation on persistence and beauty.
