Traffic before Maktoum Bridge by Prajith Cherukatt

Captured in the heart of Dubai, this image documents the rhythmic flow of vehicles approaching the historic Al Maktoum Bridge. As the city's first bridge, opened in 1963, the structure serves as a vital artery connecting Bur Dubai and Deira, replacing traditional Abra ferry crossings. The photographer masterfully frames the scene to highlight the intersection of urban development and daily motion. This photograph is award-worthy for its historical resonance and its ability to transform a mundane commute into a compelling study of city life, capturing the enduring significance of a landmark that fundamentally reshaped Dubai’s connectivity.

I disagree with Robhin. This photo is the weakest among all the photos so far. There is no sharpness and it looks dark. This is a long exposure photo. So it could be brighter ! No offences. Just a thought.
