Little did I know that those pictures would someday help shape a great hobby of mine and something that brought me great joy - photography.

This photograph was taken during a trip to Valparaiso. It was a sunny day and the dog in the photograph was initially resting right under a ray of sunlight that I found attractive. When I pointed the camera at him he got up immediately and approached through the bars of the fence that made an interesting play of light and shadow with the steel spirals on his face.
