Understanding Contrast in Photography: A Masterclass
Understanding Contrast in Photography: A Masterclass explores contrast not as a technical adjustment, but as the fundamental way light reveals a subject. This course examines how highlights and shadows shape form, how tonal and high contrast guide the viewer’s eye, and how light makes color visible with clarity and intention. Moving beyond presets and surface techniques, it focuses on seeing contrast in the scene before pressing the shutter, understanding how light interacts with subjects, and using contrast deliberately to create depth, separation, and meaning. By the end of the course, contrast will no longer be something you “add” in post-processing, but a visual language you consciously use while photographing.
