This image was captured using Apple iPhone during the summer of 2019 at Yosemite National Park, California, United States. This photo reveals a magnificent vista from the conclusion of a walking trail, ending at the cliffs of the Tenaya Canyon. I was really moved by the natural beauty of this area, and with this image in particular I was keen on capturing the composition of the trees and horizons featured. This composition is naturally occurring, ergo and I wanted feature the natural beauty and shapes seen from this view.

During a photoshoot for a restaurant, I noticed that the executive chef had a very expressive and focused face while making the final touches to the dishes before they were used for the photos. At that point, with a dramatic dish emitting a lot of smoke when water touched the dry ice, I set up an interesting overhead lighting and asked him to touch up the dish while I took photos. This shot resulted from that.

A motorcyclist has just parked his heavy machine on the edge of Pulheim's market square and the gleaming chrome vehicle is already attracting attention. The midday sun makes the finely polished motorcycle sparkle in particular. A young man comes up and seems to be particularly interested in the motorcycle and inspects it more closely. That's right: such machines want to be seen!
