Captured at Inle Lake, this photograph highlights the unique cultural heritage of the Intha people, who navigate the shallow waters using a distinctive leg-rowing technique. By standing on the stern of their flat-bottom boats, the fishermen gain a superior vantage point over the dense reeds. The photographer skillfully utilizes a long focal length to isolate the subject against the expansive, serene backdrop of the lake. This image is award-worthy for its authentic documentation of a traditional lifestyle, capturing both the grace of the movement and the tranquil atmosphere of this high-altitude environment.
