On a bright, clear day in a local park, the photographer set out in search of butterfly subjects. After capturing the lesser grass blue, she observed a group of these delicate creatures gathering on the tip of a blade of grass. The challenge lay in the rapid, fluttering movement of their wings, requiring precise timing to freeze the action. This award-winning image captures that fleeting, intimate moment of nature, showcasing the intricate patterns of the butterflies against a soft, natural backdrop. It is a testament to the photographer's patience and her keen eye for the subtle, transient beauty found in small-scale wildlife.
