Sunsets are easy. They don't move, they don't hide, and they certainly don't care if you're standing on their toes. While the colors at Coral Cay are undeniably pretty, I find myself bored by the lack of struggle here. Where is the tension? True nature photography demands a relationship with a wild subject, not just a tripod on a resort beach. It’s pretty, sure, but it’s entirely unearned. I’d rather see one blurry, patient bird.
