This photograph “The Rubbing – Documenting the Family Home” was taken at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. The creator of the artwork had taken charcoal and paper and recreated a life-sized version of his childhood home.
It is part of three photographs I took to complete my Mastering the Art of Food Photography Course, but the main idea was to invite the observer to eat an appetizing piece of beefsteak with the exotic fried yucca. The angle of the point of view is “downward,” so that’s how you should see it in front of you. Simple, tasty: the less is more. It was the best piece of meat I ever tasted.
