The Architecture of Breath

We spend our lives building walls against the void, stacking stones and certainties to keep the abyss at a polite distance. Yet, there is a secret gravity to the precipice—a pull that whispers of how thin the veil between being and vanishing truly is. To stand near the edge is not necessarily to court disaster; it is to acknowledge the fragility of the ground beneath our feet. We are all, in our own way, suspended over a gorge of our own making, held up by nothing more than the rhythm of our lungs and the stubbornness of our roots. The mountain does not care for our balance, nor does the wind ask for permission to blow. We are merely temporary shapes carved into a landscape that was here long before our first step and will remain long after our last. When the world tilts, do we lean into the emptiness, or do we find the courage to simply stand still?
