Waiting for the Sky
I spent most of this morning watching the rain hit the windowpane, waiting for the clouds to finally break. I had a list of things to do, but the heavy gray sky made everything feel unimportant. It’s funny how we spend so much of our lives rushing, yet when the weather turns, we are forced into a sudden, quiet stillness. We wait for the light to return, watching the horizon for a single patch of blue or a sliver of sun to touch the ground. It made me think about how much of our peace depends on these small, unpredictable shifts in the atmosphere. We are so often at the mercy of the elements, yet there is something deeply comforting about knowing we don’t have to control the storm. We just have to be patient enough to see what happens when the clouds finally decide to move on. Does the world feel different to you once the rain stops?

Ayen Sharma has captured this exact feeling of anticipation in the beautiful image titled Thunder. It perfectly mirrors that moment of quiet waiting before the light breaks through. Does this scene remind you of a place where you go to find some peace?
