The River of Becoming

There is a quiet wisdom in the way a child moves through water. They do not fight the current, nor do they seek to master the depth; they simply exist within the flow, as much a part of the river as the stones beneath their feet. We spend so much of our lives trying to stand on firm ground, fearing the shift of the earth, yet it is in the transition—the wading, the crossing, the gentle resistance of the stream—that we truly learn who we are. To be present is to accept that we are always in motion, moving from one shore to another, carrying nothing but the light of the morning on our skin. We are not meant to be static monuments. We are meant to be like the water, fluid and unburdened, finding our way through the landscape of our own unfolding. What remains when we finally reach the other side, and what do we leave behind in the ripples of our passage?
