The Geometry of Turning
Why do we assume that to grow is to move forward, when the most profound shifts often happen in place? We spend our lives chasing the sun, convinced that if we could only reach the next peak or the next season, we would finally find the stillness we crave. Yet, there is a quiet wisdom in the rooted things that do not chase, but simply turn. They understand that the light is not a destination to be captured, but a rhythm to be followed. We are often so busy trying to outrun our own shadows that we forget the grace of simply facing the warmth, allowing it to define the shape of our existence. Perhaps we are not meant to conquer the day, but to be transformed by the light that finds us exactly where we are. If we stopped measuring our worth by how far we have traveled, would we finally be able to see the gold that has been waiting in our own soil all along?

Anjan Patra has captured this quiet devotion in the image titled Sunshine. It serves as a gentle reminder that there is beauty in the simple act of turning toward the light. Does this image stir a similar sense of stillness in you?
