Leonardo Isla Solís

Im a photographer based in Coyhaique, Chilean Patagonia. My work focuses on experimental projects that explore the essence of local and family themes, using archives and objects as a starting point.
My creative process is based on the use of handcrafted techniques. On one hand, I apply emulsions like cyanotype to create pieces that connect the tangible with the historical. On the other, I capture images with pinhole cameras made from recycled materials and also work in 35mm film, which allows me to build a diverse visual narrative deeply rooted in the territory.
