I love to take pictures in the snow because they erase all the annoying elements and make the subject completely in sight. In this photo the man’s footprints in the snow give a depth in the image. All I tried to do was capturing that depth.

This beautiful image was taken on a recent trip to South Island, New Zealand. This is Lake Pukaki with its grand view of Aoraki Mount Cook. My initial plan was to go further into the Pukaki valley for some drone photography and that is exactly where I was headed on this afternoon.

Often I love to take my camera and go up to the mountain where it is covered with snow. There I look for the best subjects. That day, I saw a man walking along a snowy road and a single tree in his background, which was an interesting composition.
