Photo of the Day

Explore the Very Moments of Our Presence on This Earth
The journey of Photo of the Day is endless, from one continent to the next, a journey that gives one an understanding of people, nature, and culture. We believe, when one feels it from the heart and captures the moment with their camera, it becomes iconic, which is special to share with the whole world. Let’s share it with others.

Alone by Stefania Primicerio

In an almost surreal tunnel in the Roman suburbs, a human figure walks in the distance. The light is as intense as the loneliness of the human being. It was a day of celebration and the solitude of this figure caught my attention. The black and white amplifies the drama of the photo.

The Entry by Kirsten Bruening

Every exit is an beautiful entry somewhere else. To a new destination and a new adventure. The best time of the year is when we can explore new countries full of curiosity. When we get to know foreign cultures, cities and people. When we can enjoy art. When we have the opportunity to enjoy these moments again one day without a care.

Castle Hill Lighthouse by Mike Dooley

This photograph of the Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport Rhode Island was made one summer evening just about 30-45 minutes after the sun sank below the horizon. Using a wide angle lens I was able to crawl out onto the rocks down by the water to get a low perspective of the light. A 15 second exposure on a tripod at f/16 allowed me to get a sharp image that included the light from the lighthouse.
