Captured during the monsoon season in the wetlands of Sunamgonj, this poignant image documents the resilience of childhood amidst the uncertainties of lockdown. As the landscape transformed into a lush, rain-washed sanctuary, local children found solace in fishing and swimming in the newly filled waters. The photographer masterfully frames this scene, contrasting the children's carefree playfulness with the broader, uncertain future brought by the global pandemic. This photograph is award-worthy for its evocative storytelling and its ability to capture a fleeting, hopeful moment of renewal as the earth refreshes itself for a new generation.
