The photo was taken on February 21 in Moscow, behind the scenes of the run-through before “The Swan Lake” ballet by the “Classical Russian Ballet” troupe. In the photo, two little girls (possibly future ballerinas) from a dance school are watching with holding theirs breath the rehearsal from behind the curtains.
When I took this picture this girl was only 9 years old. So small, but she works hard with enthusiasm. All photoshoot was easy and fun, but this portrait was special. Her look was so powerful. I did it in black and white so that nothing distracts from her eyes and cute freckles.
