This photograph “Window to Beyond” was taken in Santa Ynez, California, in 2011. The town of Santa Ynez is one of the communities that make up the Santa Ynez Valley. It is located in Santa Barbara County, between the Santa Ynez Mountains to the south and the San Rafael Mountains to the north.
“Icelandic Ponies” was photographed in the summer of 2011 near Reykjavik, Iceland, at the end of the day as we returned from a glacier hike. I noticed these Icelandic horses running back to their stables with the dramatic Icelandic landscape behind them.
