Sugar and spice and all things nice. One can get overwhelmed when shooting spices just because of the beauty of each one. The textures and colors makes it easy to work with and no matter how you place it, it works. This picture allows for that piece of curiosity not to miss anything.
Pancakes for Breakfast by Adriaan Pretorius
There is just no better way than to start your day off with warm pancakes for breakfast. The drizzle of maple syrup and icing sugar slowly disappears before your eyes as the warm pancakes absorb it. It is finally rounded off with strawberries and blue berries on the side to add that fruity taste. The idea of shooting this specifically was one morning while we where preparing breakfast for my son who loves pancakes in the morning.
Salmon Slice with Lemon and Dill by Adriaan Pretorius
Salmon is one of those ingredients that goes with everything no matter how you prepare it. It works perfectly just on its own with a sprinkle of dill and squeeze of lemon. I love this product and this is why I choose to shoot it. The orange color reflects perfectly in the natural light and works from a variety of angles. Chilly flakes rounded off the picture to add that unexpected color and flavor.
