This is a view of the Koolau Mountain range which is one of the two volcanic mountain ranges which makes up the island of O’ahu.. This was shot on a picturesque Hawaii day from Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe. The Garden was designed and built by the Army Corps of Engineers to provide flood protection for this part of the island.

On a vacation in Maui during our morning walk on the beach I came across these footprints showing that a child had walked there before us. Perfectly indented into the sand waiting for the wave that would wash it away.
