Hörmetçi Village is one of these places. Two brothers and their families came here. They picnicked together. They played games. Big boy teaching his brother how to fly a kite. They are enjoying this moment together.

Homemakers established a cooperative in the Hacibektas district of Nevşehir. They sold their own products. They prepared for the winter with their own skillful hands. They made dough for winter soup. They put red pepper, onion, yogurt, salt, and flour in the dough. They kneaded this dough. They waited for it to ferment. Then they cut it into small pieces. They were dried in a cool place. They kept checking. This woman turned the dry dough into powdered soup with her hands.

In this old and ruined mosque, a young woman on her prayer rug is peacefully reading the Quran with a rosary in her hand. The title of the photograph "Ikra" means read, which is also from the root of the word Quran (the reading).
