]]> Boracay is a small island of the Philippines located approximately 315 km south of Manila, is undoubtedly the most famous tropical island destination, famed for its sugary-soft, four kilometre-long, white beach. Aside from its beautiful beach and colorful lifestyle, which these lanterns represent, the island is also surrounded by marine sanctuaries that offer untouched coral reef gardens and diverse sea life.

Jim Alonzo is a coffee-addicted Interior Designer, who loves photography, potato chips, and driving people mad. When Jim had his first Instamatic camera (Olympus) in college, he never knew that it is going to be one of his passions. He set up a small studio and took pictures of his sisters and when he saw the photos he had taken, he said to him “I think I’m loving this.” When the DSLR boomed into Dubai circuit, he bought his own DSLR, and from then on, he never stopped taking photographs. His favorite subjects to photograph are kids and landscapes. He believes that, maybe someday he will have the chance to meet the famous photographers around the world and have the chance to work with them.

]]> This is the view of Mt. Matutum near from the subdivision where i live in, it’s been months that i long to shoot this volcano. Matutum is located in the province of South Cotabato, on the island of Mindanao, in the south of the Philippines. It is 15 km north of Polomolok, and about 30 km north-northwest of General Santos City.

]]> This photo was taken last June 4, 2011. We are going to Balisong Elementary School at Lemblisong, Bgry. Kablon, South Cotabato, to distribute light school supply materials, those two in motorcyle is our guide. It was a part of Black Pencil Project, our goal is to change the world, one pencil at a time, to know more about the project you can visit blackpencilproject.org. We are on a multicab (smal pick-up truck) when i saw this frame, the leading effect of the road caught my attention, a perfect setup for our weekly theme assignment with my other half, the theme is “journey”.
