I was in Rio de Janeiro working as a model for an American brand. The photographer was Ellen Von Unwerth. When we arrived in the Vidigal community, we were greeted by these children and the photo is a perfect snapshot of the joy that reigns, despite all the violence around these communities, which are run by drug traffickers.

I consider myself a photo-documentarian of everyday life on the streets. And in the coming and going of people on public transport we have a real portrait of these souls who, in São Paulo, sometimes have to use four transfers to get from home to work. And the other way around.
