The moment is seized from a beautiful foggy as well as rainy day of Darjeeling. She is beautiful, her beauty can drench the longing heart of an artist. So she keeps herself veiled. Darjeeling is a Himalayan city, and renowned tourist destination. It is known as “the Queen of the Hills”, here one can watch the scenic beauty of the mountain range and take charm of walking at the Darjeeling Mall.

This late evening scene specially caught my eye as I was walking the grounds of Pushkar. The tired faces ,the resting camels seen through the smoke ,the tea boiling ,the shadows all drew me toward these people and I could not help but click though with unsteady hands as it was my very first episode with a DSLR.

I have taken this photo near a village to my city. I often used to go there for a calm and peaceful time. And there was this half done bridge where I found the old man. He was coming towards me from the opposite direction and the whole situation comes to me, as Time is an empty road.

I was going through this local market in Lahore on a Sunday morning, where I saw this guy on crouches, basically it contrasted with the rest of people on cycles, or bikes and added some power to the frame overall.

From her childhood , it was a very interesting thing to capture moments with a camera and all time she thought if she got a camera ! Three years ago after join her office as a computer system admin, her dream came true. She have got a chance to use a pocket camera for 3days. On November 2009, for first time,she bought a DSLR camera, but unfortunately after three months lost it , then started waiting and after longtime again bought DSLR with kit lens. She must give thanks to some of friends who always helped her to understand photography and some times lend their lenses too. Till now she don’t get chance to join any photography school. Hope one day she will and she is waiting for that day.

The picture was take on my way to a pagoda with a friend, an hours drive outside Hanoi. It was an incredible wet and dreary day, and where there normally would be people and animals everywhere, were completely deserted roads. These kids weren’t demotivated by the weather, and seemed to have a blast at the top of the sign.

Thomas Jeppesen is a danish fellow, living in vietnam on the 6th year. He has a master in architecture, but has worked with realestate advertising and marketing since he finished school in 1998. He now own and run a full-service marketing agency in Hanoi, servicing both the local and foreign clientel. He often escapes the dirty city on motorcycle with the camera on his back, exploring the rural areas around Hanoi. The countryside in Vietnam is like a step (or many) back in time, and offer a genuine glimpse into the real world of the majority of vietnamese people, the farmers. Through his pictures, he tries to portrait Vietnam and it’s people in the simples form possible, black and white, one subject or face at the time … Simplicity and minimalism are his life convictions, photography included. This is the reason why most of his images are black and white.
