How do you feel stepping out of your comfort zone? The thrill of knowing the unknown, becoming what you are not….does it encourage you to conquer the fear or threaten you to approach? The answer may varry from person to person, but one thing is common to all. We all have one resting point where we go back to sooth our souls. It may be the warmth of the favourite pillow, blessings of the loved ones or satisfaction of going beyond, there is one point where we have to turn to for a moment. Like the pelicans of the photograph by Rabih Madi, may we all find our resting points, to gather energy and fly again! What is your resting point? Share with me!

Have you ever wondered how you would spend your last moments of life if you discovered you only had moments to live? What would you want to do, and with whom? Think of everything, all your desires you haven’t yet experienced, now cut short. What about if you realized that all your lifetime work meant nothing in the end? And that the most important things you carry forward are moments you cherish. You would suddenly feel that special moments are few in comparison to your lifetime’s efforts and work. Have you ever felt like this?

Too many people go through life content with mediocrity, have you ever thought about this? Are you guilty of this? We work at jobs we hate to buy things we don’t need, to impress people we don’t necessarily like. People dread Saturday, but look forward to the last day of work, and pray for Friday. How long have we been surviving in this way? Is this really what life is all about, is this all there is? Do you believe we were created to be content with a mediocre lifestyle that we never aspired to in the first place? What happened to our ambition of becoming a rock star, astronaut, or an actor? What happened to the hopes and dreams we each had as children? Perhaps, over time, our dreams changed but our tendency for dreaming is still in us. Time is consumed whether we are prepared or not. The sun continues to rise and set, signalling the beginning and end of yet another day, more time lost whilst we decide what we do with time.

An Unnamed Peak, by Dipanjan Mitra

An Unnamed Peak, by Dipanjan Mitra

Our dreams changed with time’s passing and we age through life without them. And as life passes, we glance back in the mirror to discover in the cloudy horizon, our dreams we left behind. It’s almost like an unreachable unnamed peak through a cloudy vision…we may have lost sight of our dreams but still they remain in our horizon’s reach, for us to try once more.

Few things are common to all human being, birth, growing up, death and in the meantime at least once feeling “life isn’t fair.” It’s different for every individual, but the feeling is the same. What makes a difference is, who learns from it and who doesn’t, who is taking things positively and who is throwing a tantrum. And that is one of many criteria what defines a human. End of the day, when we grow old and all wrinkly skin, grey hair and shrunk smaller, all we want is to still be active and may be, just may be have such a beautiful smile.

The first rays of sun about to glow when I went out for a walk in the morning. I was walking towards an open field and suddenly, I got aware of the colors forming and disappearing around me. Everything around us have colors, haven’t they? Haven’t you find yourself in a vibrancy of color? Look around you, you’ll find yourself virtually swimming through colors. Don’t we feel fortunate that we are sent to live through these beautiful moments? Even a single creation around us is so vibrant that discovering it can be so much fun – an exuberance experience.

Cute Little Green Bee Eater

Cute Little Green Bee Eater, by Shahnaz Parvin

When I first stumble upon this photograph, what amazed me was the sheer vibrant energy that the whole photo is reflecting. Shahnaz Parvin took this photograph of the little green bee-eater from mustard filed, which usually seats in field where it may find some bees. Like other bee-eaters, this species is a richly colored, slender bird. It is about 9 inches (16–18 cm) long with about 2 inches made up by the elongated central tail-feathers.

Have you ever wonder how tiny little rain drops can change the momentum of nature. A dry, humid, barren place can transform into a beautiful one in a moment with the start of rain. Little drops of rain can force life in nature, can make us jovial, make us excited. Life becomes serene. Photographer Saniar Rahman Rahul took this on the terrace of his house in Khilgoan, Dhaka, catches the rhythm of life in the tiny drops of rains on leaves and creates a spellbound impression on us. Don’t you think so? Looking at the drops of rain, don’t you feel alive again? Share your thoughts with us.

Do you not see how your Lord lengthens the shadow? If He had willed, He could have made it stand still– We made the sun its indicator– but We gradually draw it towards Us, little by little. (Quran, Chapter 25:45-46).

Have you noticed the length of the shadow, caused by the sun that changes its position dramatically throughout the day? Well you don’t need to go elsewhere, shadows are everywhere. When we photograph things around us, we find how dramatically shadows emphasize the emotion of a moment; sometimes it creates a surreal image, and sometimes it just changes the mood. All you need to do is look at the magnificent nature around us with little more understanding, the sun, the moon, the star, and the world we are in, created by the Almighty Allah, who created you and me, and everything in this expending universe.

Riding Into the Sunset, by Jon Rendell

Riding Into the Sunset, by Jon Rendell

In this photograph “Riding into the Sunset,” by Jon Rendell, look how powerful composition was formed because of the shadow, taking during the sunset. Look how its length casted on the ground, which is proportional to the cotangent of the sun’s elevation angle, its angle θ relative to the horizon, and it can be extremely long during sunrise and sunset, when θ is 0° and cot(θ) is infinite. Let’s think, do reasoning, and reflect, because that is why we are here. Let’s open our minds eyes to see every creation of Almighty, the Lord of this Worlds.

Life should be seen as an everlasting process of joyous spiritual growth and discovery. Through life’s daily struggles to material existence, people slowly deepen their understanding of the spiritual principles underlying reality, which enables them to relate to themselves, to others, and for some, to Almighty Allah in a better way.

Inspiration is a motivating action or influence that results in creative works and productivity of all kinds. Each one of us finds our own ways to become inspired or motivated, for which we need to get our vital juices flowing and enter the state of flow. Mostly what inspire us are people, a book, movie, life experiences, a place, or may be a captivated photograph like this one by Madoka Hori that motivates and touches you.

Color of Momiji, by Madoka Hori

Color of Momiji, by Madoka Hori

Inspiration is the desire to live life without flinching, to take a risk and possibly fail, to take criticism but have the faith to do it anyways, to act on your emotions, creativity, ability, and beliefs. It is linked to innovation, to introduce new ways of seeing things. Inspiration is a way of understanding who we are and what we dream about or imagine. Inspiration gives you understanding, motivation, courage to think and dream, an identity, and a way of being.

Finish each day and be done with it and be inspired ! share your comment below!

Have you heard the “Reflection” song by Mulan? The words from the song completely strike the heart: “Who is that girl I see…staring back right at me? When will my reflection show…who I am inside?”

These words represent each one of us, and have a deep meaning, projecting a deeper understanding to who we really are, and who we really want to be. Although at times, we find it difficult to portray our positive selves, we all have numerous hidden talents and qualities waiting to be recognized by the world. Our true nature should reflect our inner beauty, someone we acknowledge. There can be much cruelty in the world, bringing us down at every point. But, we mustn’t shudder, instead fight back with confidence and faith in our hearts…let the world know that we are strong enough to withstand whatever is thrown at us.

Blue Hour, by Jens Hieke

This wonderful photograph by Jens Hieke, the blue mood and its fine reflection, portrays deep thoughts in our minds. This image encompasses our true feelings of “what you see is what you get”. A perfect reflection of our actions and the beauty in our heart can be seen in the smiles on our faces. What would you like your own reflection to be, a mirror image of your heart?

As humans, we are capable of many great things, but our most beautiful creations are often found in the ones that merge with nature. And the more time elapses, the more these start to resonate with their surroundings and become more beautiful to us, just like the captivating beauty of this old mill at Crystal Colorado. The wall’s vertical logs are very much in tune with the neighboring trees. The splintered timber ladder emerging from the chilly water reflects the color of the sheer cliff, and provides a passage of entrance…our gaze is pushed upwards to the pitched roof that mimics the slope of the mountains.

Though the exposed wooden color contrasts the surrounding green woods, there’s a certain robust romanticism that adds to the aesthetic quality of the structure. Congratulations to Steve Hirsch (Columbus, Ohio, USA), for capturing this beautiful mill in all its glory!
