This is a photograph next to the Burj Al Arab Hotel. Claimed to be the world’s most expensive “7 star hotel”. Photograph was shot around the time Dubai was heading towards a major financial crisis. The ridiculous extravagance and unrealistic mammoth projects came to a close around this time.

    Nishad, amazing shot of Dubai and the Burj next to it. You have great composition skills. And were there at the right time to take the shot. This is easily a National Geographic shot!!

    I do not distinguish between processed image and unprocessed image. All photographs are processed in some way or the other, either in the camera, on the desktop or in the viewers mind.

    Photography, to me is to present a perspective that is surreal and otherwise impossible to notice. If I have not managed to achieve that objective, I would have failed in this medium.
